Tanisha Commodore, owner of Picnics and Pops, has been in the event industry for over five years. After graduating with a Masters in administration, she set out to put her keen organizational skills and passion for helping others navigate the event planning process in the Capital Region.

Having lived in Louisiana for 10 years, she has mastered the art of southern hospitality! She serves as a vendor curator, budget navigator, and has the know-how to handle anything an event day may throw at her!

Picnics and Pops is a full service Event Planning Company specializing in highly sophisticated, smart and elegant events. Picnics and Pops provide superior service and exciting ideas with grace and style. Every detail and need will be met so that you can cherish each and every moment. No event is too big or too small, too complicated, or too simple.

Occasions big and small deserve festive attention. We offer the ideal backdrop for your celebration: an all-inclusive picnic or event without the hassle of traditional event planning. That means no cleanup + no prep for you + your guests- just a fabulous spread, ready on arrival with a great view. Most picnics can be booked online but we also offer phone + email booking for clients that want a personal touch. We also offer a range of add-on services to help make your event as perfect as you imagined.

It's simple: choose your picnic or event package and request your date. Picnics are scheduled for 2 hours. Pops are scheduled for 2 hours before your event start time. You can add-on time in each location, however, it needs to be scheduled before the event.

We are booking quickly and want everyone to receive their requested date, so the earlier the better! We recommend booking at least two weeks before desired picnic or event date. We can accommodate an event as little as 96 hours before your event without an additional rush fee of $45.

The sky is the limit! We are more than happy to host indoor/outdoor events around the capital region’s parks or in your home/hotel/Airbnb. If you’d like something further than 18 miles from the Downtown Schenectady, we charge $1/mile.
